New England National Park

Eagles Nest

New England National Park is definitely my favourite place to camp. It is situated east of Armidale NSW. This particular view is seen from Eagles Nest, but a similar view can be had, for those that don't walk much, from the main viewing area at Point Lookout.
Again from Eagles Nest but on a different day as you can see from the mist. Isn't it amazing where some gum trees decide to grow. Part of the eagles nest walk involves clambering up this cliff. (Obviously not this section) While it's not difficult it's not for the older ones.

Eagles Nest
Cascades
In the valley below Eagles Nest is the Cascades. About a 3 hour roundtrip walk from the campsite at Thungutti. It's a circular walk which is best approached in a clockwise direction. Of all the walks availbale in the park, this is my favourite.
