Blarney Castle is world famous for havng the Blarney Stone. It is said that the stone was brought back from the Crusades and cut into two. One half became known as the Stone of Scone, also known as the Stone of Destiny. The other half was given from Robert the Bruce to Cormac MacCarthy in gratitude for the Irish army's help during the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314. Legend has it that if you kiss the Blarney Stone you will be granted the gift of eloquence.
