Ballone Castle is in Rockfield and is privately owned. It was a ruin for quite some time until in about 2000 we visited and found it being reconstructed. The new owner kindly gave us a quick tour of the work he was doing, which we very much appreciated and found very interesting.

Then in 2006 we drove up that way again and took this shot. Now complete it looks brilliant overlooking the sea. I saw a magazine article a while back with photos of the inside and absolutely loved it. It looked traditional and very cozy and comfortable.
