The earliest Castle at this site was in 1151.	It was the seat of the De Moravia family.
The cobbled road still remains in perfect condition. Here I am standing about half way along it looking toward the castle	...and now looking toward the entrance. So it was quite a long drive.

The site was encircled by a wet ditch, still crossed by an ancient bridge to the east.	The 14th Century tower has broken and slipped on the made up ground.
