Tulloch Castle

Tulloch Castle is in Dingwall and was probably built by the Norsemen, but little remains of the original. For centuries it was the family home of the Clan Davidson. Today it is a Hotel and Restaurant.

It was first called Tulloch in 1507 from the Gaelic word "Tuich" which means "hillock". This is the Tulloch Farm entrance, though it is no longer owned by the Castle Estate,

On entering you find yourself in the reception foyer with the staircase rising above you.

The waiting area has a great fire place with the obligatory stag head mounted above.

It's a very comfortable area.

The restaurant is full of character with a couple of secluded alcoves.
