The large windows looked out onto the bay, surrounded by mountains on either side. I could walk down to Gotusandur Beach, and the village was quiet and peaceful, with it being extremely easy to catch roads to take me to other destinations. ![](https://i0.wp.com/mywalkabout.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/HipstamaticPhoto- 714127323.019703.jpg?resize=640%2C360&ssl=1) **There is a sauna**, cold plunge bath and hot tub that you can book with the owner, something that I highly recommend. I went alcohol free for my four nights here, and felt amazing doing so. The log house kept me calm and comfortable. I cooked my own meals, got some of the best sleeps in my life, and felt rejuvenated by at least ten years, maybe more…. ![](https://i0.wp.com/mywalkabout.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/HipstamaticPhoto- 714304866.967562.jpg?resize=640%2C457&ssl=1) **Alas**, all good things must come to an end. I say farewell to the owners as we exchange good bye cards and hugs, and I head into the Capital of the Faroe Islands, Tórshavn. ### Share this: * [ Email ](https://mywalkabout.net/gotugjogv-log-house/?subject=%5BShared%20Post%5D%20Gotugjogv%20Log%20House&body=https%3A%2F%2Fmywalkabout.net%2Fgotugjogv-log-house%2F&share=email) * [Post](https://x.com/share) * [Share on Tumblr](https://www.tumblr.com/share) * [ WhatsApp ](https://mywalkabout.net/gotugjogv-log-house/?share=jetpack-whatsapp) * [ Nextdoor ](https://mywalkabout.net/gotugjogv-log-house/?share=nextdoor) * [ Threads ](https://mywalkabout.net/gotugjogv-log-house/?share=threads) * [[ * [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) * [ Reddit ](https://mywalkabout.net/gotugjogv-log-house/?share=reddit) ### Like this: Like Loading…
