[](https://i0.wp.com/mywalkabout.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/d096e-img_0164.jpg?ssl=1) This was my favourite lyric of a night full of awesomeness at the [Willie Nelson](http://www.amazon.com/Essential-Willie-Nelson/dp/B00008BXK3?ie=UTF8&tag=korieakol@yahoo.com&link_code=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969) concert. Em’s has been wishing that we got tickets to this show all summer long. Her and Jared have been working so hard that I wanted to do something nice, and surprised them with tickets. Admittedly, I wasn’t a big fan before the show, but the concert changed all that. Willie is Americana music personified, as the last living member of a trifecta including Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash, I felt like I was seeing a part of music history. [[ Em’s and I arrived super early to get a sweet spot in line. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day, with clear blue skies and temps in the 60’s. We even met NBA legend Mark Eaton! [[ As we settled in on the lawn, enjoying cold drinks, tortilla wraps, and key lime pie, the opening act played. I’d never heard of Chuck Mead before, but give it a listen. Twangy, country goodness right there, eh? [.](https://i0.wp.com/mywalkabout.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/39bb8-img_0113.jpg?ssl=1) As the sun set over the valley, Willie came onstage. He has such great stage presence, and I was in awe at how he played non stop for someone his age. Enjoy the greatness that is Willie Nelson. and a little more…. Although I am still disappointed that I missed music legends Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan this summer, this show makes that pain a little easier to bear. ### Share this: * [ Email ](https://mywalkabout.net/have-you-heard-about-the-dirty-whore/?subject=%5BShared%20Post%5D%20Have%20you%20heard%20about%20the%20dirty%20whore%3F&body=https%3A%2F%2Fmywalkabout.net%2Fhave-you-heard-about-the-dirty-whore%2F&share=email) * [Post](https://x.com/share) * [Share on Tumblr](https://www.tumblr.com/share) * [ WhatsApp ](https://mywalkabout.net/have-you-heard-about-the-dirty-whore/?share=jetpack-whatsapp) * [ Nextdoor ](https://mywalkabout.net/have-you-heard-about-the-dirty-whore/?share=nextdoor) * [ Threads ](https://mywalkabout.net/have-you-heard-about-the-dirty-whore/?share=threads) * [[ * [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) * [ Reddit ](https://mywalkabout.net/have-you-heard-about-the-dirty-whore/?share=reddit) ### Like this: Like Loading…
