# Icelandic Whale watching….reflecting - Link: https://mywalkabout.net/icelandic-whale-watching-reflecting/ - Published: 2024-07-21T07:57:23-07:00 - Author: My Walkabout **My last evening in Iceland’s capital city** I choose to go on a whale watching tour. This is always one of my favorite things to do whenever I’m close to the ocean, whether in my home country or abroad. ![](https://i0.wp.com/mywalkabout.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/HipstamaticPhoto- 715114039.299382-2.jpg?resize=640%2C457&ssl=1) **I have plenty of time** on the deck of the boat to reflect on everything I have experienced over these last three weeks, the amazing highs as well as some challenging lows. The vast ocean before me puts my own existence into perspective. I realize that my decades of traveling solo is most likely coming to an end, or least I will be not be be going on endless adventures like I have been. As the midnight sun slowly illuminates the sky in a soft glow, I watch the Icelandic flag wave in the ocean’s breeze.
