Another weekend is upon me<\/strong>, which means I’m heading backing to the Mogollon Rim. I will attempt to find and explore the Blue Ridge Reservoir<\/a> on Sunday, but I decide to spend my Saturday rumbling along the Mogollon Rim road towards Knoll Lake<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Dusty and dirty is the way<\/strong> through the pine forests of this area. Eventually I come to the picturesque setting, and decide to walk around the lake to escape the crowds and boats near the launch area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My fishing pole<\/strong> feels like a divining rod, finding the Earth’s energy below and sending it coursing through my cells. I let the line slide effortlessly through my fingers, slowly reel and watch for the subtle movement of a fish investigating the bait at the other end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are no fish for me today<\/strong>, but it is mostly due to my lack of skills. I’ve seriously lapsed over the years in my fishing prowess. I need to work on regaining those skills I once had before retirement is upon me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
