I leave Southern Utah<\/strong> before the sun rises on Thanksgiving morning. Four plus hours later, I arrive in Salt Lake City to be reunited with family. No masks, social distancing or forced outdoor dinners this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Quiet times for me<\/strong>, mostly spent with one brother’s family. I do get a few others to come to a movie on Saturday, and others of us go to the utah football game on the Friday after the Holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The distance of being away<\/strong> for such long periods of time though are draining me physically as well as emotionally. People grow and change, making me feel lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Relationships I once thought were strong are fading into the dark night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My parents will die this decade, and I already know the regret I’ll feel once they are gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every time I return to see them, the more sad I become.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
