Memorial weekend is here,<\/strong> and I wonder where did Spring disappear to so quickly? The warmer temperatures in the Valley drive me northward, destination Flagstaff and the Glamper Cabin for a few days. No TV, internet or distractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

I return to this special spot<\/strong> after a couple of years, this time in the summer instead of winter. I have only one goal and that is to hike a section of the Arizona Trail from the cabin up to the Snowbowl ski resort, about seven or so miles round trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I reach the Snowbowl<\/strong> and look forward to a reward of a summer ale, but alas the restaurant and bar are closed. After a quick bite, I turn around and head back down the mountain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rest of my time<\/strong> in the Glamper cabin is spent listening to the wind whistle through the aspens, watching the sun dance in the shadows of the forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
