The first time I saw Ray Lamontagne<\/a>, it was a cold December day in Chicago, 2012. We both felt introverted and introspective, sad and melancholy.<\/p>\n\n

A sunset being choked out by smog and pollution.<\/p>\n

The time between then and now have brought about a change. The music is crisp and refreshingly hopeful. Songs that before were covered in sadness now shine a radiance of new life, a kick in one’s step that things are better, or at least your perspective is more upbeat.<\/p>\n

We both still don’t know what love means, but as long as there are songs like Jolene, we’ll keep going on….<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
