Late night college study sessions is where I first learned\u00a0about Surrealism and Salvador Dali<\/a>. My friend Natalie had some of his artwork hanging from her apartment walls, which is where I first laid eyes upon “The persistence of Memory”.<\/p>\n

“I don’t do drugs. I am drugs”.<\/i> – S Dali<\/a><\/p>\n

I’d never seen anything like his work before, and his surrealistic art pulled me in deep, my mind stuck like taffy in the twisted machine of Dali’s brain.<\/p>\n

“Have no fear of perfection, you’ll never reach it.”<\/i> – S Dali.<\/a><\/p>\n

I haven’t thought about this time in my life for years, literally, until last spring when I found myself walking in Mexico City’s Polanco district.<\/p>\n

I stumbled upon a free display of Dali’s artwork in a medium that brought it to light in a wholly new and wonderful way.<\/a><\/p>\n
