I’m sure that I am repeating myself, but the Seattle grunge scene impacted me musically, shaping the way I felt about music, artists, and genre’s. Any chance to still see these influential bands is an opportunity I can’t miss.<\/p>\n

This personal promise took me to Austin, Texas, for the USA Memorial holiday to enjoy a nice city, and to get my grunge fully on with the band Soundgarden<\/a>. I’m not going to lie, when I saw their tour bus outside of the Austin Music Hall<\/a>, I almost ran up and starting pounding on the door, just to meet them. ( but I knew that wouldn’t go over so well, most likely with me getting carted off by police, so I just took a picture….)<\/p>\n

To just hear Chris Cornell’s voice was divine, but when he wailed, every hair on my body stood at full attention, quivering with excitement. The band’s constant high energy made for one of the most memorable shows I’ve ever seen, and the live versions of “Outshined” and “Rusty Cage” are still ringing in my ears.<\/p>\n

Being in Austin, the “Music capital of the world”, made the night even better, as these people truly know their music, and appreciate all that went into the show, the musicians, everything…..<\/p>\n
