As I find myself underneath the massive stone slab, I see a small wooden door to the right, partially ajar. Curiosity takes hold, and I slowly open the door and step inside&#8230;.<p><\/p>\n<p>I climb the 138 wooden steps to the Tower&#8217;s gallery, and find spectacular views of the city, castle, and river. Akin to the guards of old, protecting their beloved city from invaders, I watch over Praha.<\/p>\n<figure><a style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/3a83a-img_0217-cr2.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/3a83a-img_0217-cr2.jpg?resize=640%2C426&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/figure><div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<p>From my vantage point, the city of 1,000 spires opens itself to me like young love. The sound of music wafts up the tower from the bridge below. I search for the sound, and see a street vendor far below. The sight is too intriguing, so I rush down the steps and back across the bridge.<\/p>\n<figure><a style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/04949-img_0203-cr2.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/04949-img_0203-cr2.jpg?resize=640%2C476&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"640\" height=\"476\" border=\"0\"\/><\/a><\/figure><div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<p>The hand cranked organ and jovial clapping monkey sidekick sum up my feelings perfectly.
