We slide from left to right along the desert for a few minutes until we reach our next destination, Rattlesnake canyon. I see a great mountainous plateau to the east, and a narrow entrance to the south with a ten foot ladder to climb up into the unknown.\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/1fbf9-dsc02625.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/1fbf9-dsc02625.jpg?resize=640%2C426&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>The canyon is named for its similar shape to the slithering serpent, not as a home for the snake.<br \/>At least that is what Adrian tells us. With it being November though, I know that snakes have already gone into hibernation for winter. Excitedly, I climb the ladder and start exploring.<\/p>\n<p>I find the narrow, winding walls somewhat claustrophobic at first, but the beauty within washes away the initial closing fear.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/d7488-img_2096.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/d7488-img_2096.jpg?resize=640%2C480&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Squeezing through small arches, between walls, up and over stone, each turn shows strange new beauty.
