The official spot was a three hour drive from Nairobi, and we left after lunch.\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But I love long drives, especially through the lush countryside of Kenya, exploring more of the motherland. We found a road side stand with the sweetest tiny bananas, saw enormous fish being carried out of local rivers, friendly locals all along the way, offering guidance and hospitality.<\/p>\n<p>Then we arrived.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/b56be-085.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/b56be-085.jpg?resize=640%2C480&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>I&#8217;m not sure what I was expecting, but a single sign just off the road out in the middle of no where wasn&#8217;t it.<br \/>A local man came up to us, and started his presentation of &#8220;The Equator&#8221;.
