I should know better than to look at the e-mail that came across my phone.
\nJust get on the plane, you can deal with work later….<\/i>
\nBut my body and technology are intertwined, meshed together, and I can’t ignore that fact.
\nGod damn it….<\/i>
\nYet it is my choice to let the disturbing news break me down or not. I decide to let a few days at Hilton Head Island<\/a> work on my state of mind.<\/p>\n

This time I do not go on any adventures, no exploring new territories. Instead I read books from cover to cover, go for walks along the ocean shoreline at sunrise and sunset, listen to live music at the tiki house.<\/p>\n

I savor simple things, like fine food on your tongue.<\/div>\n
Oysters on a half shell.<\/div>\n
walking for endless hours on a sandy beach.<\/div>\n
watching the sun rise<\/div>\n
reading. sleeping. waking. repeat.<\/div>\n
couples holding hands, sharing secrets.<\/div>\n
live beach music.<\/div>\n
a broken fence line, half buried in white sand.<\/div>\n
a child building a sandcastle.<\/div>\n
sea birds playing in the surf.<\/div>\n
a old man fishing.<\/div>\n

\u00a0Upon my return home, these simple things have helped me to make a decision, a huge change in my life. I look forward to what the future holds, with nervous excitement.<\/div>\n
