This was my favourite lyric of a night full of awesomeness at the <\/span>Willie Nelson<\/a>\"\" concert. Em’s has been wishing that we got tickets to this show all summer long. Her and Jared have been working so hard that I wanted to do something nice, and surprised them with tickets. Admittedly, I wasn’t a big fan before the show, but the concert changed all that. Willie is Americana music personified, as the last living member of a trifecta including Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash, I felt like I was seeing a part of music history.<\/span><\/div>\n

Em’s and I arrived super early to get a sweet spot in line. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day, with clear blue skies and temps in the 60’s. We even met NBA legend Mark Eaton!<\/p>\n

As we settled in on the lawn, enjoying cold drinks, tortilla wraps, and key lime pie, the opening act played. I’d never heard of Chuck Mead before, but give it a listen.<\/div>\n

As the sun set over the valley, Willie came onstage. He has such great stage presence, and I was in awe at how he played non stop for someone his age. Enjoy the greatness that is Willie Nelson.<\/p><\/div>\n

Although I am still disappointed that I missed music legends Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan this summer, this show makes that pain a little easier to bear.<\/p><\/div>\n
