That is until a little friend decided to appear on my trail&#8230;.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/09327-snake.jpeg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/09327-snake.jpeg?w=640&#038;ssl=1\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">I have two phobias. Sharks &amp; snakes. ( <i>Thank you Indiana Jones and Jaws!<\/i>)<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">In all my outdoor adventures, I have yet to encounter a snake until this trip. So I knew that the odds were against me that I wouldn&#8217;t EVER see one.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">I screamed and yelled ( if other hikers were around they probably thought&#8230;.where is that foul mouthed little girl?),<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">but the little fellow didn&#8217;t move.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">So I tried to scare it with a rock<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/e30cd-picture.jpeg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/e30cd-picture.jpeg?w=640&#038;ssl=1\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<p>But that plan didn&#8217;t work. The snake just looked at me with it&#8217;s evil little eyes. I could feel an immense panic attack happening, so before I became paralyzed with fear and ended up this serpent&#8217;s dinner, I used what adrenaline I had left, and ran and jumped over Mr. Snake.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">Safely on the other side, I thought that I better take a picture of Mr. Snake.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/5d1f7-photo28229.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mywalkabout.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/5d1f7-photo28229.jpg?resize=640%2C436&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"640\" height=\"436\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">Doesn&#8217;t orange mean that it is a Coral snake? and aren&#8217;t they the most dangerous?<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">But aside from that, this really is a mystical place.
