Our guide and driver was a Lewis Black<\/a> type personality (I’m still not entirely convinced it wasn’t the comedian) that kept us informed and entertained as we traversed the steep inclines of the Santa Catalina mountains.<\/a><\/div>\n
We spotted small foxes, deer, and buffalo, and could faintly see the outline and water spouts of gray whales in the Pacific.\u00a0<\/a><\/div>\n
The history of the Island is just as captivating as its landscape, with stories of World War Two and this islands worry about being overtaken by Japanese forces to more modern tales of conservation and seismic earthquake and tsunami monitoring that take place here.<\/a><\/div>\n
From the top of a hill with a 360 degree view, it’s hard to fathom anything other that the peaceful surrounding and the salty ocean breeze.<\/div>\n
