Having finished my hike around<\/strong> Nevado De Toluca earlier than my driver expected, he asks me if I’d like to stop and visit Toluca, the largest Mexican State, and see what many to believe to be the biggest Stained Glass display in the world.<\/p>\n

“Absolutely.”<\/em>
\"\"My driver tells me that the town<\/strong> itself isn’t very safe outside the main zocalo square, especially at night. We park and walk a couple of blocks through the zocalo, cross the street and up to the main entrance. Created by Leopoldo Flores, the artwork grabs a hold of you as soon as your enter.
\"\"Among the stained glass displays<\/strong> are indigenous plants, with a showcase of photography in the center.<\/p>\n

I wander around and take in the afternoon in Toluca. An unexpected and delightful place I never would have seen if it wasn’t for my driver, and my willingness to be open to new experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n
