I could barely feel the basket<\/strong> leaving the ground. Looking over the edge I see that we are rising into the atmosphere among the clouds above the ancient city of Teotihuacan.
\n\"\"It’s a perfect morning<\/strong> with no wind, light clouds that are dotting the mountain tops, and a sunrise that is splashing the earth with her colorful paintbrush. I pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming.
\n\"\"The pyramids of the Moon and Sun in the avenue of the Dead come into view. From our aerial vantage point you can truly appreciate the size and scope of this ancient Pre-Columbian city.
\n\"\"Our guide tells us<\/strong> that there is most likely many more uncovered artifacts to this site, but locals aren’t willing to sell their land for archeologists to uncover, and so we may never know just how large or how many people once lived here.<\/p>\n

I respect the traditions of the Mexican people and their strong connection to ancestry and the dead.<\/p>\n

Silently we float over Teotihuacan<\/a>.
