A song comes on the radio<\/strong> during the summer, playing an artist I’ve not heard of before. As Nathaniel Rateliff<\/a> sings, I feverishly search to see if he may be coming to a town near me. I find that he is opening for John Prine<\/a> in November in Denver. The rest, as they say, is history……<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a night of magic<\/strong> in downtown Denver. I sit in between two cougars who immediately start talking to me, ignoring their husbands. I smile on the inside, as this happens more often than not. People are always looking for something beautiful in their lives to break up the doldrum of the day to day existence. Even something as strange as myself….<\/p>\n\n\n\n
