It’s twelve days into 2013, and the ticking clock of life propels forward regardless of fiscal cliffs, maddening business decisions, and other such nonsense.
I climb into a photographic time machine, and am whisked back two hundred and eighty-eight hours.
It is just after seven-thirty in the morning, the first sunrise of 2013. I have last night’s cognac on my breath as I see the sunlight strike the Prague castle in the distance. The angelic wings of my sister brush against my cracked skin, bringing comfort.
I take the time to absorb the surroundings, spin 360 degrees, and come full circle with my place in life, my spot in the world.
