# Saguaro Lake - Link: https://mywalkabout.net/saguaro-lake/ - Published: 2018-07-03T06:20:56-07:00 - Author: My Walkabout I make my way up along the Salt River, this time the destination is [Saguaro Lake](http://www.saguarolakemarina.com/). Dark clouds are in the sky this morning, with a light rain falling. It’s the unofficial start of the monsoon season, and the valley feels like a sauna. I pump up the old paddle board. I follow the shoreline for a few miles, then find a smooth spot to chill for a bit. I enjoy a lemony beverage and some music while the clouds pass above me. The mountain formations out here are unreal, otherworldly almost. I have an eagle perched on a ledge high above me. The bird watches over me in majestic silence.
