CBug and I going to the Pima Air & Space museum in Tucson to hopefully see the history of airplanes around the world, both commercial and military, as long as the weather doesn’t shut our trip down. ![](https://i0.wp.com/mywalkabout.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/HipstamaticPhoto- 752349516.579582.jpg?resize=640%2C457&ssl=1) **This is my second time visiting this place**. Cbug’s fascination with planes in general had him in heaven from the moment we entered. As we walked around, he would let me know about the history of different planes. ![](https://i0.wp.com/mywalkabout.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/HipstamaticPhoto- 752347378.906607.jpg?resize=640%2C457&ssl=1) **The sheer size** of the Presidential plane always awes me, as well as the slightly different styles of aircraft from countries like the United Kingdom and Germany. ![](https://i0.wp.com/mywalkabout.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/HipstamaticPhoto- 752346838.029051.jpg?resize=640%2C457&ssl=1) ![](https://i0.wp.com/mywalkabout.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/HipstamaticPhoto- 752348942.881612.jpg?resize=640%2C360&ssl=1) **Blowing dust** across military helicopters creates a scene out of the movie Apocalypse Now. Another aircraft is eerily similiar to what one saw in Avatar. ![](https://i0.wp.com/mywalkabout.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/HipstamaticPhoto- 752347914.078584.jpg?resize=640%2C457&ssl=1) **As we exited the gallery** and went into the gift shop, Cbug found a Air Force travel gym bag that he really liked, so I got it for him as an early Christmas Present. I think it solidified our great experience out here. ### Share this: * [ Email ](https://mywalkabout.net/the-airplane-graveyard-in-tucson/?subject=%5BShared%20Post%5D%20The%20Airplane%20Graveyard%20in%20Tucson&body=https%3A%2F%2Fmywalkabout.net%2Fthe-airplane-graveyard-in-tucson%2F&share=email) * [Post](https://x.com/share) * [Share on Tumblr](https://www.tumblr.com/share) * [ WhatsApp ](https://mywalkabout.net/the-airplane-graveyard-in-tucson/?share=jetpack-whatsapp) * [ Nextdoor ](https://mywalkabout.net/the-airplane-graveyard-in-tucson/?share=nextdoor) * [ Threads ](https://mywalkabout.net/the-airplane-graveyard-in-tucson/?share=threads) * [[ * [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) * [ Reddit ](https://mywalkabout.net/the-airplane-graveyard-in-tucson/?share=reddit) ### Like this: Like Loading…
