[wpinsertinpostad id=”wtfuj5c66ad7445751″] I settle into my front row seat at the [Orpheum Theater](https://www.phoenixconventioncenter.com/orpheum-theatre) in downtown Phoenix. ![](https://i2.wp.com/mywalkabout.net/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_5829-2.jpg? fit=940%2C705&ssl=1) **The lights go down**, the curtain goes up. The [Simon & Garfunkel Story](http://www.thesimonandgarfunkelstory.com/) begins…. I wouldn’t say I was disappointed exactly. It just wasn’t what I was hoping for. I was looking for a true theater – style play about the lives of these two incredible singer-songwriters. What I got was more of a monologue told by two actors looking like Art and Paul. They sang well enough, and there was some interesting tidbits they told, but I wouldn’t really call it “_acting_“. ![](https://i0.wp.com/mywalkabout.net/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/IMG_E5828-2-1.jpg? fit=940%2C940&ssl=1) **On the upside though**, I do love their music, and since I can’t see the originals play together, this was a close second. **As far as waxing nostalgic though**, the show hit the spot, and I’ll take that.
