So today is my birthday, you can hold the applause. Although it really was just another trying and frustrating day in the world of American Capitalism and the Healthcare system, as the evening started to unfold I remembered back…

back to Africa and what happened there this last summer.

I faced one of my greatest fears. This body isn’t getting any younger, as the lines on my face will attest to.

Freaking out on the inside I was, especially as the towels were being tightly wrapped around my lower legs. I was trying to concentrate on my breathing as instructions were being given.

I thought that a heart attack would happen right there on the ledge as the clips were being put onto the harness. I saw the news headline flash before my eyes “man has stroke and dies while attempting first and only bungee jump“.

Yet as I type this in my forty fourth year on earth, I smile in the accomplishment.

I revel in the thrill and rush of adventure.

I seek more varied and diverse experiences in the upcoming year.

I want to live. First name Trouble, middle name Drama.

Let’s Go.

Wench, bring my ale, what say you?
