I’m not an expert on Martial Arts/Kung Fu movies, but I do live my life by the phrase “I’m just going to wander the Earth. You know, like Caine in Kung Fu. Walk from place to place, meet people, get into adventures.”

So when a new martial arts movie gets a US release and is well received by a couple of movie critics I respect, I thought I would go see what it is all about. The Furious is about two men that try to take down a child trafficking ring somewhere in Asia, both of whom had lost their daughters to these criminals.

I would say that 85% of my theater were people of Asian decent, another 10% African and then one other white guy besides myself. This helped me appreciate the film as it went along as they reacted very positively to what was happening on screen, from dialog to locations. The action though was unlike anything I had seen before on screen. I had me gasping, cheering, and cringing, sometimes all at once. This movie did have some dub/sub issues, but honestly I think it was done on purpose from comedic relief. I was blown away by how much I enjoyed this movie, and highly recommend checking it out! The scene with the ice blocks alone is worth the price of admission….
