I make my way up along the Salt River, this time the destination is Saguaro Lake. Dark clouds are in the sky this morning, with a light rain falling.
It’s the unofficial start of the monsoon season, and the valley feels like a sauna.
I pump up the old paddle board.
I follow the shoreline for a few miles, then find a smooth spot to chill for a bit. I enjoy a lemony beverage and some music while the clouds pass above me.
The mountain formations out here are unreal, otherworldly almost.
I have an eagle perched on a ledge high above me. The bird watches over me in majestic silence.
I feel the strong connection to Nature this morning.
