I recall the day Build.Create.Kenya went to Gate Hill. We were looking for schools to support, future projects to work on. What we found that day on the school rooftop were signs of abuse and neglect, hope seemed to have abandoned the most precious of souls.
Next to a cage of rabbits the school was raising for food were discarded carcasses of disease. Another eye opening reminder of the need for education, and of how dire of the help that is needed for the youth of Kenya.
We could have easily been discouraged, left this place and moved onto a project that would be easier, but that is not what we are about. We will find a way to change these lives for the better. We believe in miracles and wonder, hard work and dedication, in the power of the human spirit to lift up the lives of all of humanity.
