Along the I-10, between Tucson and the New Mexico border is a unique formation of boulders called Dragoon. Over the years I’ve passed this place while going to other destinations, but on the first weekend of November decided to explore this area with CBug.

We started from our stay at the Triangle T ranch, and went under the road through a tunnel. This led to some interesting rock formations, but we couldn’t go far. So we hopped in the truck and went to the “official” area of Dragoon a few miles away, paid the entrance fee and found a bevy of inter-connecting trails that really let us see what the area had to offer.

A perfect Fall day in Southern Arizona let us enjoy cool temperatures and we hiked for miles exploring the vast empty of the desert, all while weaving up, down and all around the various boulder formations.
