Flooey and the South Davis Community Orchestra

I clearly remember the day you were born, my second niece. Were we just leaving the University of Utah football game from a victory when the text came through that you came into this world in the hospital just above the stadium.
The extended family all arrived at the hospital the next day, and your nickname Flooey was etched in stone by me. Since that day in 2008, your Uncle has watched your spunky personality, your love of the movie Frozen, wonderful Halloween costumes, and your talent for music all grow.
From playing the banjo with me to my favorite bluegrass tunes to your true love of the violin, it didn’t surprise me that you joined your Community Orchestra. I was thrilled to get the invite to come and see you play in a free concert this week. A night full of some of my favorite movie soundtracks was just the added bonus. You were a star, cute as a button ,and this uncle couldn’t be more proud of the amazing young woman you are turning out to be.
