From the Archives : reflections of my time in Costa Rica on the last day of 2016….
December 31st, 2016. Before the NYE party gets started in the jungles of Guanacasta, Costa Rica, I take a hike up into the hills to watch the sunset. This is my first trip to outside of the USA since I was denied entry into Canada the year before. I was nervous I would be denied again and that I would never be able to travel again. Yet my entry was easy, and my time here was full of outdoor adventures and deeply personal and spiritual moments. I reflect upon all of this, my life over the past year, and dream about what could be for the year ahead….
