From the Archives : Taking a helicopter over the Grand Canyon during a global pandemic

Back to 2020 we go. The global pandemic is in full swing. I have itchy fingers and need to get outside, so I decide to head up to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon over the 4th of July Holiday weekend. The place is pretty empty, so I can just walk up to the airport counter, keep my social distance and see if they are offering helicopter tours. Surprisingly they are, and the rest of this epic day is history….
