Within the first minute of playing, I tap the blind girl in front of me on the shoulder…
“Who are these guys?”
After a few inaudible mumblings, some smiles and repeated face licks from her service dog Sage, I get the answer.
“Greensky Bluegrass! Aren’t they awesome!”
It was progressive bluegrass music played in a way unheard of by these ears, and I couldn’t get enough.
They played for an hour and half at the infamous Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado.
Not too shabby for the opening act.
