Heading to my soul kitchen (Weaver’s Needle)
First hike of 2018, and it was a glorious January day here in Arizona. I wanted to venture further on up the Peralta trailhead from a previous hike, making my way to Weaver’s Needle.
The night before, SeaBee and I had drinks after work, and so she was on my mind. I find her on my mind almost all of the time now….
When I reach the top, I text her to wish her good morning as I know she is probably just getting up. Surprisingly, she sent me a good morning text before I could.
It’s funny how we work like that. I’m feeling so good about us. Between her and these mountains, my soul kitchen is full.
