I finish my trek along the West Fork trail, then make my way a short distance down the canyon to the Junipine Resort. The place is really just condominiums and time shares that are managed rentals. Nestled along the river though, and quiet in the chilly November afternoon, I find the place to be perfect for an evening of drinking, star gazing, and relaxing in front of a crackling and roaring fire.
My place could easily have accommodated a large family, which would have made the price tag easier to swallow, but my motto last year was experiences over money.
I’m paying for that motto this year as I try to reduce my debt and balance my bank account with my traveling wanderlust.
I’ll probably fail though, as I don’t want to die being debt free and experience-less.
