Sin City is about equal in driving distance from Salt Lake City and Phoenix, so it works out perfectly for my family to meet for a weekend. My niece had her Cheer Competition and I needed to keep a promise to my nephew.
I arrive mid-afternoon on a Saturday, and we all decide to go try out an “Escape Room” at Escapology. This is my first time trying this out, and I find out that I suck. My brain just doesn’t compute when it comes to figuring these things out.
Luckily, most of the rest of the family didn’t fare much better, and so we all failed at “escaping” in time. Of course, we choose the absolutely hardest room to try and escape from……
Back when my niece was only eleven, I took her to Vegas, just the two of us. I promised my other nieces and nephew that I would do the same when they turned the same age.
Then I moved away, but a promise is a promise. It took me a little longer than anticipated, but this weekend I was able to take my nephew to a Mat Franco Magic show (his choice) and we both loved it!
The whole evening we just looked at each other with dropped jaws….“How did he do that?!?” Which I believe is the reaction you want from the true wonder of a magician.
My niece kills it at her Cheer Competition. Supposedly I’m not to share the dance performances online, but I’m a rule breaker.
