It was the first weekend after the New Year. I start 2025 by going to the sanctuary that is the Desert Botanical Garden in Central Phoenix. They are having a Light Bloom display that I wanted to see.
I wander through the gardens as the winter sun slowly starts to set. The glow over the valley calms my nerves. As night comes, the lights come on in the cubes scattered throughout the Botanical Gardens. It was magic in it’s purest and most childlike form.
This may have been my 3rd or 4th time here, but it was my first time spotting this amazingly formed Saguaro.
At this stage in my life, I like to re-visit places and find new things that I initially missed. The world has so much to show us, that sometimes you don’t need to always go to new places, but just appreciate and find new things in the familiar.
