Montrose, Colorado, is a perfect base camp for those looking to explore the Southwestern portion of the mile high State. I could easily go to Gunnison State Park, Black Canyon, Ouray, Telluride and countless other places to have outdoor adventures.

Just don’t forget about the Native American Indians that lived here for a millenia before we raped and murdered their communities, broke their spirituality and stole the land from it’s people.
Their are reminders everywhere of the history of the Native Americans, and I find it extremely important to continually remind anyone who will listen of the great tragedy that befell upon them at the hands of the White Man.

They are too stoic and proud themselves, but the years of abuse and mistreatment is seen in their eyes, their souls and voice.
You just need to stop and listen.

Wench, bring my ale, what say you?
