The fur lined Icelandic hat keeps his entire body warm as the truck slowly makes it’s way along the bumpy dirt roads of nowhere. After successfully finding the Sycamore Waterfalls, the man is now looking for his trailer before the snow really starts to fall and stick to the ground.

The simplicity has the man’s heart racing. No way to connect to the outside world. The only priority is warmth, and with two propane canisters to plug into a generator, he should be warm enough for the oncoming night out here. The snow starts to fall…

The pages of the book make him sleepy. One sleeping bag plus a warm blanket, both wrapped tightly around his bones. The man is fast asleep just after night falls and the moon rises. Around 2 a.m. he awakens to replace the first propane bottle. It is easily single digit temperatures outside.

A brilliant morning finds snow covering the ground, the truck, and the trailer. No way to make coffee, but the harsh cold wakens his spirit. The man survived the night in the only way he knows how. Satisfied, he packs up quickly and starts the long journey back home.
