Monsoon season has arrived in a glorious, tumultuous rage here in the desert Southwest. Epic thunderstorms have turned brown landscapes into a lush sanctuary, but they have also destroyed towns and taken lives of both man and beast.

I find a place where I can hopefully try to manipulate time to witness the raw power of these summer storms in safety. The east side of Tucson, on the edge of the mighty Sabino Canyon. The intensity in the air fills my soul with Mother Nature’s love as the clouds swirl and form above me.

I set up time lapse cameras for all kinds of different angles and views, and the end result is some of my best work yet, in my opinion. Tomorrow I’ll hike into the canyon itself, weather permitting…..

Wench, bring my ale, what say you?
