This isn’t a story that will hold you captivated on the edge of your seat.
It’s more of a journal entry into the diary of my life.
Spring baseball training is here again in the desert.
My good friend CJ is a huge baseball fan, has been his entire life. It’s rubbed off on me. I usually only go to one Spring game each year, and this time around is was at Hohokam Stadium, home of his beloved Oakland A’s, against my favorite team the Angels.
Ironically, we went to lunch at Mambos earlier this week, a local Dominican Kitchen in Chandler. The DR is home to many a professional baseball player, and on this occasion several came in to eat while we were there, the most famous being Angels player Albert Pujols.
I sit behind home plate with a burger and a beer, listening to the crack of the bat and the pounding of leather as the ball hits the glove.
Sunday afternoons in the Spring are best spent this way, at least I think so.

Wench, bring my ale, what say you?
