Walking down the streets in the blue hour after sunset, scarf wrapped tightly around my neck I make my way to the St. Salvator church at the Charles Bridge entrance to Old Town Praha.

Being built between 1578-1654, it’s classic baroque architecture is truly a marvel. Inside it’s high domed ceiling has hand painted fresco’s and sand stone sculptures of saints.

I sit on a heated pew, and wait for the concert to begin. An hour of classical music being played live. The acoustics add to the magic emitting from the stringed instruments.

Closing my eyes, I become transported to a new era, a time of peace and tranquility as the notes of Mozart and the like take one away on a mystical journey…..

if only for a little while.

Wench, bring my ale, what say you?
