August can be especially brutal in Arizona, but if you are willing to get outside early enough, you’ll find somewhat cooler temperatures that make being outdoors bearable.
I head back to Canyon Lake for some early morning paddle boarding. I love the sweat that comes off my body at seven a.m.
I find a makeshift rope swing, and splash into the cool waters. I enjoy a cold beer on the dock before heading back home.
All told I’m done and back home before noon, but you got to opt outside when you can during the hellish dog days of a Phoenix summer.
