I slowly savor each footstep as I make my way from the waterfront to the art museum area around the infamous Seattle Needle. I’ve missed the freedom of travel that I’ve had over the last two decades of my life.

Enter the world of Chihuly. Glass blowing artwork of fantastic and epic proportions.

Seattle houses some of Dale Chihuly’s permanent art displays, with both indoor and outdoor pieces to be seen. I wander around like a dwarf caught in the underworld, strange yet calming. I try not to stumble over my cloven hooves as I walk through this realm of mystery.

Since traveling around is no longer a foregone conclusion, I can’t take any visit to a new place or city for granted.

Wench, bring my ale, what say you?
