Chimney Pass

It’s mid-morning when I decide to do one last trail from the Amitabha Stupa, and that is the Chimney Pass trail. The stacked red rocks on top of the mountain are calling me.

I feel like I’m going through a fruitful darkness to find peace and light.
I let the ringing of wind chimes and the faint chant of meditation carry me onward. I have so much positive energy flowing through my body. My muscles are sparking with electric current as I kick the red dust into the air and climb the mountain.
I reach the summit as the sun starts to warm the earth. I sit, meditation style, my face in the sun, and let the sounds of the Great Mother speak to me in the natural silence of the Vortex.
My body is scarred, dried blood caked onto my legs. No one ever said that you will come out of the darkness unscathed.

Wench, bring my ale, what say you?
