Yesterday I checked out the movie I Swear, only knowing a little about it from the incident that occurred at the BAFTA’s. Real life person with Tourette’s syndrome, John Davidson, had this movie made based upon his life.
The movie starts with young, fifteen year old John living in Scotland when his ticks and outbursts start, causing stress for his family, bullying at school, and poor John thinking he is going mad. He finds a friend’s Mom that takes him in as she recognizes that he has Tourette’s, and the rest of the film is him overcoming obstacles and learning to not only live with Tourette’s, but ultimately teaching the world around him about people with Tourette’s syndrome.
I found the movie inspiring, with some amazing performances, especially from the main character. I loved this movie, and highly recommend it as long as you can handle cursing. Let me know, did you see this film?

Agreed, I Swear is stunning. Great use of ‘older and younger’ version of lead character(s) actors, too.
